Research Interests
The research goal is to understand the molecular mechanism of salivary secretion in disease vectors, including hard ticks and mosquitoes. Bioinformatic analysis using transcriptome and proteome of hard ticks and mosquitoes is utilized to search for genes of interest. Various molecular biology and functional genomics techniques, such as RNA interference and CRISPR/Cas9, are applied to investigate the physiological functions and mechanisms of target genes.
