Research Interests

Dependable Embedded Controls Systems (DECS) Lab is dedicated to the development of safety-enhancing technology for various industrial applications & weapon systems. Our research focuses on real-time monitoring, fault-diagnosis & prognostics, autonomous control for underwater vehicles, highly reliable industrical fieldbuses, and a novel safety device for service robots.

Major Research Achievements

ㅇ Development of autonomous control for hybrid AUVs cooperating with a USV.
ㅇ System health monitoring and USV-synchronized control for AUVs.
ㅇ Remote monitoring and AI-based maintenance support technology for eco-friendly air pollution prevention scrubber fans.
ㅇ Design of highly reliable data network for SONAR system and combat system on a submarine.
ㅇ Auto depth control system for a submarine using self-organizing Fuzzy logic.
