Major Research Achievements

o Published two papers in journals ranked within the top 1% by JCR in their fields.
o Proposed the first reported multifunctional polymer that simultaneously provides space-radiation shielding and atomic-oxygen (AO) resistance.
o Demonstrated a multifunctional composite combining high mechanical performance with debris-impact mitigation, radiation shielding, and space-environment durability.
o Developed the first multifunctional “space-stealth” composite achieving X-band electromagnetic absorption while maintaining radiation-shielding capability.
o Introduced the first deployable, origami-inspired composite that protects against cosmic radiation, space debris, solar radiative heat, and AO.
o Pioneered the first application of interlayer stitching to structural battery composites (energy-storing, load-bearing laminates).
