- Design and synthesis of novel metal nanocrystals with well-controlled sizes, shapes, and core-shell structures
- Structure-dependent physical and chemical properties of faceted nanocrystals

Applications of Nanocatalysts
- Nanocatalysts for electrocatalytic water splitting reactions such as H2 and O2 evolution
- Nanocatalysts for fuel cell reactions, including O2 reduction, H2 oxidation, and oxidation of liquid fuels such as formic acid, methanol, ethanol, and ammonia
- Nanocatalysts for electrocatalytic CO2, CO, and N2 reduction reactions
