Abstract

We precisely measured π⁰ branching ratios of _Λ⁵He and _Λ¹²C hypernuclei produced via the (π⁺, K⁺) reaction. Using these π⁰ branching ratios with the π^- branching ratios and lifetimes, we obtained the π⁰ decay widths and the non-mesonic weak decay widths with an accuracy of ∼5% (stat) for both hypernuclei.
