Abstract
Currently, schools are classified as public facilities under the Emergency Medical Services Act and are not classified as mandatory AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and universities do not stipulate detailed regulations on AED installation and service. According to these problems, this study selected a total of 73 domestic and foreign sample universities, including 40 top domestic and foreign universities, 11 national universities, 25 metropolitan areas, and other universities in 2024 analyzed by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), a higher education evaluation agency, and analyzed laws and regulations on the installation and management of AED by examining the status of AED installation and guidance services. As a result of the study, domestic universities provide information on the AED installation location through the web, but it was different from emergency medical portal (E-GEN) data, and most campus maps did not provide AED information or could not be found in emergency medical portals. Also, the analysis data on AED and web services provided by each university, the government's laws and regulations, the legal and institutional improvement of OHCA (Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest) patients through case analysis of the map service system, the establishment of a three dimensional spatial information database to improve survival rates in terms of time and space accessibility, and the application of location-based AED calling services were presented.
