Abstract

Nowadays, wide variety of devices have been considered for IoT (Internet of Things) research. In this paper, we introduce IPv6 packet transmission using NFC (Near Field Communication) devices. We propose an IPv6 adaptation layer that modi?es the existing standard to successfully operate over NFC devices with no impediment to the existing standard. Experiment using testbed and simulations show that IPv6 packet transmission using NFC devices can be carried out successfully.
