Abstract

This paper presents a new analysis method of the leakage current on contaminated polymer insulators under salt-fog conditions. The proposed method tries to combine frequency-domain information with time-domain information using the framework of the fuzzy inference engine. Experimental results show that the unified approach of different domain data using fuzzy framework is available for flashover prediction and monitoring the contamination conditions of outdoor insulator.
