Abstract

To date, only five species of the genus Acklandia Hennig have been recorded worldwide, and all species are known only in the Palaearctic region. Among the known species, Acklandia servadeii is an important and highly harmful pest in Europe, causing severe damage to iris flower buds. However, there are still no data on the biological characteristics of other species. Herein, we describe the detailed morphological characteristics and provide photographs of a new species, Acklandia tenuipenissp. nov. We also provide a checklist and key to species of this genus in this manuscript.
