Abstract

In this paper, a novel single-stage single-phase dual-output hybrid converter (SSDOHC) is proposed, which aims at reducing weight, volume and cost. The proposed converter uses only two switches to perform the boost action. Initially, the proposed converter is developed as a DC-DC converter and further extended for hybrid output application. The proposed converter can feed the power to both DC and AC loads at the same time. A comprehensive analysis of the proposed topology has been done and efficiency and power loss are analyzed compared with existing topologies. The performance of the proposed converter has been verified by simulation and experimental results.
