Abstract

Aroyl chlorides react with sodium tetraphenylborate in THF at room temperature in the presence of a nano-palladium catalyst prepared from Pd(OAc)2 and PEG-2000 to give the corresponding diaryl ketones in high yields. The catalytic system could be recovered and reused five times without any loss of catalytic activity.
