Abstract
The lane detection for driver assistance systems should be designed with simple and robust algorithms. This paper proposes an algorithm for reliable lane detection using steerable and median filters to improve the lane detection probability under various environments such as shadows, stains, road markings, tunnel and so on. The region of interest (ROI) setting can be obtained by the improved vertical mean distribution (iVMD) Method.
