Abstract

Recently, a necessity of the high power motor in various fields is increased. Out power increase the higher, the number of phase, pole and slot increase the more. Moreover, because the researches of coil winding design method have been insufficient and the designed method which is generalized and systematic almost is not, the design of coil windings is very difficult and is spent long time. To overcome these difficulties, we introduce the "electric angle comparative (EAC) parameters" to determine the slot numbers and winding scheme. And we have developed the winding fitness discriminant on the basic of suggested EAC method. By using this fitness discriminant, we can know the fitness of winding scheme and basic characteristic of motor without experimentation and computer simulation. That is applied to all complex structures of multiphase/multi-pole and various winding schemes. Consequently, the design scheme of multi-pole and multi-phase motors could be simplified.
