Abstract
In this paper, we introduce the on-line electric vehicle (OLEV) system and its non-contact power transfer mechanism, and propose active magnetic shielding method for the reduction of magnetic flux from the power line and pickup module of the vehicle. We analyzed the effect of active shields placed in the vehicle and underneath the surface of the road. By selecting active shield underground and by optimizing position and current, the leakage magnetic flux has been significantly reduced.
