Abstract

A frame selection algorithm was proposed to remove inter-symbol interference (ISI) produced by multipaths in conventional orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Four estimation methods were presented to adaptively determine a replaced period of the proposed algorithm to multipath conditions. ISI was removed by adaptively replacing some of the rear parts of the effective period with parts of the guard-interval period as an fast Fourier transform for OFDM systems.
