Abstract

Wind force coefficients of single, two- and three-span arched type greenhouses with respect to wind direction were estimated to give more reasonable coefficient values. Wind pressures with different wind directions were observed through wind tunnel model experiment, and wind force coefficients were analyzed. It is desirable that distribution of wind force coefficients according to wind directions and main wind direction in location of greenhouses must be considered, because wind force coefficients are different with wind directions. When the wind direction is perpendicular to the wall, wind force coefficients are varied along the height of a wall. Therefore, subdivided estimation of the coefficients is more resonable for a wall as well as a roof.
