Analysis on the insect community dynamics of Dokdo Island, Korea from 1978 to 2015

Abstract

A comprehensive analysis of the insect community dynamics of Dokdo Island, located at the eastern end of Korean territory, based on the data from the publications from 1978 to 2015 was carried out. A total of 13 orders 166 species of insects was reported to exist in Dokdo by this study. This study is focused on the analysis of the community structure and dynamics of insects in Dokdo Island over the past 40 years. Order Diptera was the only one taxonomic group to be collected in all survey during the period of 1981 to 2015.
