Abstract
Despite the widespread consensus that the balance between exploration and exploitation is crucial for long-term performance and survival, few studies have examined the mode through which this balance is achieved. Drawing on 1981-2011 data from the Korean IT industry, this study investigates the effects of this mode on organizational longevity.
