N2 - This paper proposes an EE core structure coupled inductor with center gap design, which is applied in the Boost-SEPIC interleaved (BSI) converter. The proposed coupled inductor can integrate all three inductors with unequal voltage conditions. In addition, owing to the characteristics of the structure, each inductor current ripple is minimized, thus, the conduction loss is reduced, as well. Also, the overall size of the inductor is decreased significantly. The performance of the proposed coupled inductor is verified with a 2-kW prototype.
