Abstract

There has been a rapid development in mobile, cloud computing and sensor technologies which enables learners to learn more effectively, flexibly and efficiently from anywhere. Using mobile devices for learning exploits the features of mobile computing such that they can be used to develop customizable systems that help in context-aware learning. Mobile learning refers to the use of mobile devices for the purpose of learning while on the move. In this paper we propose to apply fog computing in mobile learning in order to achieve efficient context-aware learning. Using fog computing reduces the latency and the time complexity of using a mobile learning application.
