Abstract

This chapter reviews various topographical surfaces to direct self-assembly of block copolymer (BCP) thin films. The chapter first demonstrates the interfacial interactions for controlling the orientation of BCP microdomains in thin films and then discusses the influence of topographical surfaces on the orientation and the lateral ordering of BCP microdomains. The chapter includes a brief application of BCP microdomains guided by topographical surfaces.
