Abstract

The iterant strong sustain discharge during a sustain period was known to induce an image sticking problem, but its detailed mechanism is not still fully understood. It is found that the rising slope of the sustain waveform has a significant influence on the recovery time of temporal bright image sticking. As a result, the recovery time of temporal bright image sticking is shortened considerably by properly controlling the rising slope of the sustain waveform.
