Abstract

The Enhanced Communications Transport Protocol (ECTP), which has been standardized in the ISO/IEC JTCl/SC6, is an end-to-end multicast transport protocol that is designed to support an interactive Internet multicast applications with unicast backward channels to the multicast sender. This paper describes the design, implementation and experimental results for the ECTP protocol.
