Abstract

The effect of environmental temperature on discharge characteristics of red, green, blue phosphor layers in alternating current plasma display panels (AC-PDP) was studied. The changes in the temperature of the panel were measured by using the thermometers. The results showed a slight decrease in the luminance of red and blue phosphor layers while the luminance of the green phosphor layer decreased excessively with the increase in environmental temperature.
