Abstract

We have measured saturation characteristics of R, G, and B phosphor layers with each subfield in an ac PDP. It is found that the color temperature is improved with an increase in the number of subfield. This change is caused by the nonlinear increase of the R, G, and B luminance due to the difference of the decay and saturation characteristics of the R, G, and B phosphor layers.
