Abstract

The effects of sustain pulse number on decay characteristics of green phosphor layer in a surface-type alternating current plasma display devices (AC-PDP) were studied. The changes in decay characteristics of green phosphor layers with sustain pulse numbers were measured in the actual AC-PDP. The decay times of the green phosphor layers were found to increase from 9.3 msec to 14.7 msec when the sustain pulse numbers were increased from 10 to 200.
