Abstract

The analysis of ventilation performance varying with the length and number of duct in scale-model of reefer container hold has studied experimentally. Most container ships have ventilation system of which ducts extended to the bottom for the purpose of efficient exhausting of condensing heat from refrigerator, However, the duct is so over-long which causes manufacturing troubles and costs higher, In this study, for the various types of duct, the flow visualizing test with smoke oil and normalized temperature rising analysis are performed. Keeping the notation of class for reefer container stowage, we concurrently saved the material and manufacturing costs. Finally, the ventilation performances of each system are compared with each other.
