Abstract

Technology and industry in the world related to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle have been developed rapidly last 5 years, and this developmental trend is predicted to continue. At the present point, in order to secure market competitiveness early through demand-based technology development, vacant technology needs to be deducted and proper promotional goals should be established. However, in Korea, there are few studies on the trend related to the technology using unmanned aerial vehicles or its areas, which is the basic data to deduct vacant technology and set a promotional goal. Accordingly, this research aims at analyzing the trend of convergence study on space information based on unmanned aerial vehicles as the study on their global trend. In this study, it was examined by analyzing main key words of the research theses published in international journals last 7 years (2010–2016) using the text mining technique. The analysis results showed that the number of convergence study last 7 years has been rapidly increasing by 61% every year on average. As for its fields, the utilizable technology in the area of Geography–Topography and Agriculture–Forestry–Vegetation was proved to be at the growing stage for qualitative improvement, and that in the area of Architecture–Civil Engineering and Disaster was found to be at the beginning stage in the level of simulation. This research is expected to be applied a lot to the deduction of vacant technology in the areas using unmanned aerial vehicles and to the establishment of the promotional goals of related study by offering the basic data about the trend of use.
