N2 - For high efficiency of permanent magnet motors, the core loss of rotor should be considered as well as that of stator. In some pole-slot combinations, the rotor's core loss is too important to be neglected because of high flux fluctuation in rotor core. In this paper, flux fluctuation effects according to pole-slot combinations are analyzed and compared with each other.
