Abstract

We demonstrate a frequency swept, 1300nm laser using a semiconductor optical amplifier with an external wavelength filter cavity. Wavelength selection is achieved using a diffraction grating, a focusing lens, a mirror, and a rotating slit assembly providing an active wavelength selection.
