Abstract

A frequency synhronization algorithm that utilized the symmetry property of 8-VSB spectrum and the conventional pilot-based algorithm was proposed. The algorithm increased the estimation range of a frequency offset and provided perfect synchronization. The proposed algorithm operated effectively under pilot-distorted indoor channel conditions.
