Abstract

In this paper, to reduce the permanent image sticking phenomenon of ac-PDP, the various address waveforms during a sustain period were examined. To compare the permanent image sticking for the various address waveforms, the normalized luminance, discharge current, and Vt closed curve were measured. It was observed that the permanent image sticking was mitigated for the application of 60V bias pulse and floating to the address electrode during a sustain period.
