Abstract

u-Health care requires interoperability between medical devices. IEEE 11073 is an internationally harmonized family of standards, produced by a grouping of manufacturers, institutions and IEEE Institute. It ensures interoperability between medical devices in u-Health environment. The Bluetooth is used for communication. We focus on new and innovative NFC based Bluetooth pairing in u-Health environment. It can enhance the user experience of applications that use the Bluetooth technology. The enhancements can be select a Bluetooth device, securely connect to a Bluetooth device, start an application on a Bluetooth device.
