Abstract

Nanoparticles with controlled size and composition is of fundamental and technological interest for fundamental substrates and templates in nanotechnology, molecular biology, biomineralization, colloid science, supramolecular chemistry. In this study, the inter-and intra-structure of amphiphilic diblock copolymer - poly[styrene-b-(4-vinylpyridine)] - solution for this nanoparticle was studied using small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and Generalized Indirect Fourier Transform (GIFT) methods. The GIFT, developed by Otto Glatter, is a unique model-free method to determine P(q), S(q) as well as p(r). The P(r) contains all the possible information about the scattering medium including maximum dimension, inter- and intra- structure of materials and polydispersity.
