Abstract

Dielectric loss and bending loss characteristics of flexible three-region cylindrical alt-dielectric waveguides are investigated in millimeter wave band. The loss characteristics are highly dependent on the design parameters such as dielectric constant profiles between core and cladding region, dielectric constants, radii of the guides, ratios of outer radius to inner radius. Numerical results are shown for the design of the low-loss flexible dielectric waveguides before fabrications.
