Abstract
Methods to improve the luminous efficiency in color plasma display panels (PDP) are discussed. A combination of HE-Ne-Xe-Ar gases was proposed to enhance the luminous efficiency. Zero dimensional simulation was used for the observations. The mixing condition of gases was optimized. The reaction mechanism of gases was also computationally analyzed. The electron, radical, and ion densities in the He-Ne-Xe-Ar discharge were investigated.
