Abstract

A scheme of dual corrective control for a single input/state asynchronous sequential machine (ASM) is discussed in this paper. The states of the considered ASM are divided into two disjoint subsets that represent separate system modules. Since entire state observation by a single controller is impossible, we propose a dual corrective control structure in which a local controller having access to local states cooperate so as to match the stable-state behavior of the closed-loop system to that of a reference model. The condition for the existence of two local controllers and their controller synthesis are sketched in the framework of corrective control theory.
