Abstract
The characteristics of the MgO layer are known to be an important parameter that affects both the stable address discharge and luminance characteristics in an ac-PDP. In this paper, to enhance the long time-discharge characteristics of 42-in. ac-PDP with an ternary gas compositions such as He-Xe(17%)-Ne, the effects of the nano-powder on the MgO layer on the long-time discharge characteristics are examined. As a result, it is observed that the MgO layer with nano-power can enhance the long time-discharge characteristics in an ac-PDP.
