Abstract

2-lodoaniline reacts with ketones in dioxane under reflux in the presence of a catalytic amount of Pd(dba)₂/1, 1′-bis(di-iso- propylphosphino)ferrocene along with NaO^tBu to afford 2-substituted indoles regioselectively in moderate to good yield.
