Abstract

Retiming is a design technique used to reposition the memory elements of a circuit while preserving its functionality. This paper suggests a novel approach by which solution to the retiming problem can be achieved; Particle Swarm approach is the one we suggest. This heuristic method is used to find clock period optimization in this paper. Our result show that this approach can act as a pioneering for further study of optimization problem in VLSI circuit.
