Abstract

The paper proposes a method of peak shaving through control of EV Aggregator in industrial buildings. Peak shaving based on a heuristic algorithm which is not suitable in real field is expressed in a convex form to generate an EV optimum charge/discharge schedule, and a minimum peak is achieved by a linear search. It is implemented in quadratic programming in MATLAB Tool box to express peak shaving problem in convex form and binary search tree is used to minimize the peak. For validation of performance of the proposed method. Various load patterns of industrial buildings are considered. Simulation results show that it is possible to reduce electricity cost about 10% compared to EV.
