Abstract

This paper describes the two preparation methods of PLGA (poly lactic-co-glycolic acid) porous micro carriers using porogen by microfluidic device in different porosity. We employed microfluidic flow-focusing device to prepare porous carriers in narrow size distribution. PBS (phosphate buffer solution) and gelatin were used as porogen to fabricate pores on microcarrier. The prepared porous carriers were compared in pore size, size distribution. Furthermore, we introduced various applications of PLGA porous microcarriers such as drug carrier, cell carrier and CNT wrapped carrier.
