Abstract
This paper studies a production planning method based on a combined approach of the simulation technique and mathematical programming at the same time. The production planning has been very important in production facilities to enhance productivity and competency. Most of all the production planning should create an executable production target that meets customer demands from customers under various constraints from suppliers and internal resources. The method develops a production planning method that provides what-if analysis for human planners based on a mathematical programming model and the new method is applied for a light-emitting diode (LED) production facility.
