Re-conceptualization of the curriculum design and pedagogy through Bruner's idea of narrative

Abstract

According to the new research and argument by Bruner, we can discuss another vision of curriculum design and pedagogy focusing on narrative and making stories. In this context, this article is to investigate the suggestions and the implications of curriculum design and teaching method based on Bruner's idea of narrative and folk pedagogy. Bruner suggests new curriculum design and pedagogy which focuses on the folk pedagogy and cultural psychology. In view of folk pedagogy and cultural psychology, Bruner concluded that curriculum design and teaching should be re-conceptualized into the narrative matters with the model of mind and learner thinking.
