Abstract

The temporal image sticking and image retention time were investigated in accordance with the slopes of the ramp pulse during a reset ramp-up and down period. The temporal behaviors of the luminance, IR peak time, integrated IR value, and CIEXYZ stimulus value were observed at a black level after a white level of five minutes in order to determine the proper quantitatively measurement method for dark image retention time. For the measurement of luminance, IR peak time, and CIEXYZ stimulus value, the image retention time was increased with an increase of the slopes of ramp pulse during the reset-up and -down period. According to the results, the temporal measurement of luminance, IR peak time, and CIEXYZ stimulus value is suitable in the investigation of the dark image retention time.
