Abstract

Amorphous tin-indium-oxide (TIO) thin films as an electron transport layer (ETL) for perovskite solar cells (PSCs), were grown under controlled oxygen partial pressure (PO2). The effect of PO2 during TIO deposition on the photovoltaic response of TIO-ETL-based PSC was evaluated. A device of TiCl4 treated TIO-77 at.% deposited under lower PO2 shows improved shunt resistance and exhibited the best power conversion efficiency of 15%, which is greater than the devices deposited at high PO2. This work deciphers the importance of deposition atmosphere in fabricating ETLs for PSCs.
