Abstract

We report a study of the decay B0→DK +π - followed by D→K -π +, where D indicates D0 or D ̄0. We reconstruct the DK +π - state in a phase space corresponding to DK *(892)0. The CP-violating angle 3 affects its decay rate via the interference between b→u and b→c transitions. The result is obtained from a 711fb -1 data sample that contains 772×106BB̄ pairs collected at the Υ(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e +e - collider. We measure the ratio R DK *0 Γ(B0→[K -π +] DK +π -)/Γ(B0→[K +π -] DK +π -) to be (4.5-5.0-1.8+5.6+2.8) ×10 -2, and set an upper limit of R DK *0<0. 16 at the 95% credible interval.
