Abstract

Morphology-controlled Pt dendritic aggregates supported on W 18O 49 nanowires were fabricated by a simple colloidal method. The synthesized nanocatalysts exhibit strong catalytic activity toward methanol oxidation and high CO tolerance because of the highly branched structure of the dendritic Pt nanostructures and assistant catalytic activity of the tungsten oxide nanowires (see figure).
