Abstract
The one-dimensional coordination polymer like fern branch, [CuII(L)]3[FeIII(CN)6]2·8H2O (1), which is linked by azamacrocyclic copper(II) complex and iron(III) hexacyanide, has been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography and magnetic susceptibility measurement (L = 6,13-dimethyl-6-nitro-1,4,8,11-tetraazabicyclo[11.1.1]pentadecane). Compound 1 shows a weak ferromagnetic coupling between the copper(II) and low spin iron(III) ions in the one-dimensional chain structure.
