Abstract

We present neutron diffraction and magnetization results for Nd0.7Sr0.3MnO3. From this study, we found that the Mn and the Nd moments ordered ferromagnetically below around 200 and 20 K, respectively. However, the Mn moments started to tilt away from the b axis below 15 K, leading to a canting of the Mn moments. From the experimental finding, we suggest that there should be unusually strong coupling between the Nd and the Mn moments.
